Auto Top-Up Function
If you wish to simplify your workflow, ensure uninterrupted service, and save time on frequent transactions, please set up the Auto Top-Up function.
Critical Condition: You must set and keep an active Default payment method in the billing portal. Otherwise, the system will attempt to automatically charge your account to continue service but will fail due to the missing card.
Activation and Configuration of Auto Top-Up
Before adding your card, you must set the conditions under which the automatic top-up should occur.
1. Log in to your Fozzels account.
2. In the "Billing" section, select the "Payments" tab.
3. Click the "Configure Charge Credits" button to open the "Recharge Settings" window.
4. Set Conditions: Enter the necessary details:
- When credit balance goes below: Enter the amount (e.g., €5) that triggers the top-up.
- Bring credit balance back up to: Enter the amount (e.g., €50) your balance should be topped up to.
5. Enable Auto Top-Up! Check the box: "Yes, automatically recharge my card when my credit balance falls below a threshold."
6. Be sure to check the displayed limitations (e.g., "Max auto top-ups limits: up to 3 transactions, up to €100 in total") to avoid unexpected charges.
7. Click "Save" to apply your recharge settings.
Use the customer billing portal, powered by Stripe, to securely manage your cards and ensure uninterrupted service.
Navigating to the Customer Billing Portal in Fozzels
On the "Payments Settings" page, click the orange "Customer Billing Portal" button.
You will be automatically redirected to a secure, dedicated page managed by our partner, Stripe.
Adding a New Payment Method
In the Stripe billing portal, you will find all the necessary information for managing your payments.
- In the "Payment Method" section, click the "+ Add payment method" link.
- On the "Add payment method" page, select your payment type (e.g., Card, Google Pay, etc.).
- Fill in the required card details:
- Card number
- Expiration date
- Security code (CVC)
- Country
To ensure maximum security, your payment data is processed and protected by our partner, Stripe, on their secure page, guaranteeing that this data is never stored on Fozzels servers.
4. After entering valid card information, the "Save my information for faster checkout" option will appear.
If you check this box, your payment data will be saved by Stripe for future payments. This allows Fozzels to charge your card for subsequent transactions without requiring you to re-enter all card details, ensuring a quick and seamless payment process.
5. Click the blue "Add" button. The new card will appear in your list of available payment methods.
The system automatically sets the first card you add as Default for all future payments, unless you specify otherwise.
Use as default payment method - This checkbox will appear for every card added after the first one. It is checked by default. Keep this box checked to make the new card the priority for all future payments, replacing the current Default card.
Setting a Card as Default (If Multiple Cards Exist)
If you have multiple cards and need to change your primary card, follow these steps:
- In the "Payment Methods" section, find the card you want to set as default.
- Click the ellipsis icon (...) next to the card.
- From the dropdown menu, select "Make default".
- The system will then use this card for automatic subscription renewals and charging for your usage transactions.
How to Delete a Payment Method
To delete a saved card, the action required depends on whether the card is currently set as the Default method.- For the Default Card: Click the "X" icon located directly on the card entry to initiate the deletion.
- For Non-Default Cards: Click the ellipsis icon (...) next to the card and select "Delete" from the dropdown menu.
In both cases, a confirmation pop-up window will appear, asking you to confirm that you want to permanently delete the payment method. Click the red "Delete payment method" button to finalize the removal.
⚠️ Important Note on Default Cards
If you delete the current Default card, the system WILL NOT automatically assign another card as the new Default. You must manually select the remaining card and choose "Make default" from the ellipsis menu to ensure your subscription remains active and future payments are processed smoothly.
Important Information!
Security: Stripe ensures that your payment card details are never stored on Fozzels servers, providing maximum protection.
Billing Address: Your billing address information is available in the "Billing Information" section. You can update it by clicking "Update information".
Terms: By providing your card details, you agree to the Fozzels Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Invoice History: You can review all previous transactions in the "Invoice History" section.
- For the Default Card: Click the "X" icon located directly on the card entry to initiate the deletion.
